What do I have to consider before wallpapering? How do I work with the wallpaper? How do I order? Ordering in our Online-shop is very simple. After choosing the desired wallpaper you click onto the shopping cart icon and discard the article there. Our roll calculator can be of help while calculating the needed number of rolls. This calculator asks for the measurements of your wall and calculates the exact number of rolls in consideration of the particular repeating pattern. Now you can choose more wallpaper or immediately forward the order. When you have all the desired articles in the shopping cart, click onto “Checkout” and you will be guided automatically through the rest of the order process. How does the shopping cart work? All the articles that you chose are collected in your shopping cart. If you are finished with your selection, please click right onto “shopping cart”. A survey shows you all the selected articles and you can make modifications or delete individual articles. How do I calculate the number of wallpaper rolls? We recommend using our roll calculator. Our calculator contains a calculating formula that automatically considers the particular repeating pattern. In this way you don’t need to deal with this annoying calculation. You can find the roll calculator in our Online-shop next to each wallpaper. All you need to do is insert the measurement of your wall or of several walls of the room. If you do want to calculate the number of rolls by yourself, the following chart is supposed to be of assistance for you. With this chart you are always right. Almost all our wallpapers have a consecutive pattern that has to match again on the next row. The wallpaper rolls are always 10 metres long and 0.53 metres wide. So if the room height is 2.50 metres this makes normally three rows of wallpaper. You should always keep a wallpaper scrap to fix a possible damage later on.
What is „repeating pattern“? The repeating pattern determines the length of the wallpaper (that has to be cut off to match the pattern of the wallpaper during gluing) that you have to consider while calculating the number of rolls. How do I pay? We offer a wide range of possibilities, how you can pay for your order: 1. Payment in advance onto our banking account 2. Payment by credit card (VISA, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express, JCB) 3. Payment by PayPal When do I have to pay? If you chose payment in advance by bank transfer, your order will be executed directly after receipt of your payment. To safe valuable time you can already send a copy of your bank transfer by E-mail (info@tapetender70er.de) or fax (+49 36625 50729) in advance. On payment by credit card or by PayPal your order will be executed after receipt of the payment. Normally this is the case within a few minutes after sending your order. Is my data subject to data protection? Your address information is stored within the legal frame and will only be given to a third party within the order processing, for example for dispatching the goods. Credit card information is not stored in any case. This information is transferred directly after entering in our Online-shop to the credit card companies for processing. Is my data encoded? To offer you the best possible security, all your personal data is transferred encoded between your browser and our server. For this we use the established SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol with 128 Bit encoding. You can be sure, that no one else can read your data. Hint: Every time your data is encoded, you can see this when the little lock appears down right in your browser. How much are the forwarding charges? After receiving your order, our Shop software automatically calculates the forwarding charges. Crucial for the forwarding charges is the amount of the rolls (the weight of the package) and the particular receiving country. Using the button “Forwarding charges & delivery periods” you can inform yourself about the options normal dispatch and express dispatch in the forefront of ordering. Here some examples are introduced to you. But the exact calculation of the charges happens during your ordering process. You still have the opportunity to cancel the ordering process if you only wanted to have an exact calculation. How long is the delivery period? Basically we have all wallpapers in stock and are able to delivery immediately. Should we nevertheless not have an article in the needed amount, we will get in touch with you immediately and inform you and agree about the delivery period. You can always choose between normal- and express dispatch. Which parcel service do you use to dispatch the goods? We deliver to every country of the world and we always choose the particular low priced parcel service. Normally these are UPS or Deutsche Post (German Mail Service). Requested samples are sent by letter with the German Mail Service. The sample dispatch to European countries takes around 5-8 working days. We send our sample letters by airmail to countries outside of Europe. This takes between 5 and 12 working days. Alternatively you can also order here an express dispatch by UPS. What happens when I’m not home when the package arrives? Perfect customer service is our top maxim. Because of this you receive right after dispatching your parcel an email with all relevant parcel information. You can easily track the way of your parcel with the tracking number. Should there be problems with the delivery we give you the telephone number of the parcel service so you can arrange for a new delivery date. However the safest way is to indicate right from the beginning a delivery address where you can be reached during the day. Otherwise leave a note for the parcel service and let them hand over your delivery to the friendly neighbour. Can I indicate an alternative delivery address? In our Online-shop you can indicate an alternative delivery address, an address differing from your invoice address. During the ordering process you also will be asked for the delivery address. Can I buy the wallpaper also in my country? We are an Internetshop without branches. There are no shops whatsoever that can offer our range in other countries. Please order out of this reason in our Online-shop. Can I also pay in other currencies than Euro? Our payment systems are only aligned in Euro. A payment in different currencies (e.g. USD) is unfortunately not possible. Our currency calculator helps you calculating the prices and the forwarding charges in your currency. Do I have to pay duty on deliveries outside of the European Union? The orderer has to pay possible duties. The payment of duties depends on the country in which the parcel is being sent and can be asked at the custom office there. But in most of the countries the import of the wallpapers is without any duties. What happens if my wallpaper arrives in damaged condition? Should the parcel be damaged, please let the parcel service confirm this condition and inform us about it. In case of doubt refuse the acceptance of the delivery. Each parcel is insured against such damage. But for the argumentation an immediate complaint with the parcel service is necessary. In rare cases there can be misprints in the wallpaper caused by production. Please inform us by email when noticing such a mistake. Without charges we will take care of an immediate replacement of the damaged roll or we will substitute the roll price. In most of the cases sending a picture of the misprint is enough. Only in exceptions the wallpaper has to be returned. What do I do when I do not like the ordered product? You can return the product within 14 days without stating the reason. We do want to point out upfront that the colours of the wallpaper on the screen can differ a little from the original. This depends on the different colour reproduction of the different types of monitors. Please understand that we only take back originally packed and undamaged rolls. If you do want to return your product please send an email. The surface has be dry, sustainable, smooth, clean, evenly absorptive and in terms of colour neutral respectively white. All old wallpaper has to be removed. Rough surfaces, holes and unevenness should be closed and smoothed out with painters’ filling containing cement. A flawless wallpapering result can only be achieved on an in terms of colour unitary surface. How do I work with the wallpaper? The handling tips belonging to the particular type of roll is enclosed in the wallpaper roll. Basically you can differ the following types of wallpaper: Paper wallpaper: Paper wallpaper consists out of two or more layers of (Duplex) paper. In many cases they have a light imprinting (Gaufrage) or their surface is just smooth. During handling the glue has to be applied onto the wallpaper and a certain time of soaking has to be kept in. Vinyl wallpaper: Vinyl wallpapers are layered with easy to clean plastic PVC (Polyvinylchlorid). They are washable and flame resistant and are especially suited for kitchen or bathroom as well as public buildings and hotels. During a renovation the vinyl layer can be pulled off dry while the lowest layer of paper stays onto the wall as maculation for the new wallpaper. Fleece wallpaper (Vylene wallpaper): Fleece wallpapers are tear proof and dimension solid. This means: They do not stretch, shrink or curl up – neither when cutting or through the sogginess of the glue. Fleece wallpaper can be applied dry directly without time of soaking. In doing so the glue can be applied onto the wallpaper as well as onto the wall. The material is steam penetrable, flame resistant and UV stable. |
